How to Cancel a Zepto Order (Easy Guide)

Sometimes we place the wrong order on Zepto or change our mind after ordering. The good news is that in some cases you can still cancel the order quickly.

Method 1: Cancel Directly From the Zepto App

If your order is newly placed, you may see a Cancel Order option in the app.

Steps:

  • Open the Zepto App
  • Go to My Orders
  • Select your active order
  • Tap Cancel Order
  • Confirm cancellation

If the cancel option is available, your order will usually be cancelled instantly.

Method 2: If There Is No Cancel Option

Many users notice that the cancel button disappears after the order is accepted or packed.

In that situation:

  • Don’t waste too much time chatting with the Zepto auto bot
  • Wait until a delivery partner gets assigned
  • Call the delivery partner and politely ask them to cancel the order

After that, you may receive an automated call from Zepto on your registered number saying:

“You have placed a cancellation request.
Press 1 for Yes or 2 for No.”

Press 1 to confirm the cancellation.

Important Warning

Do not cancel too many orders frequently.

According to many customer experiences online, repeated cancellations may lead to:

  • Account restrictions
  • Address blacklisting
  • Reduced support access

So only cancel orders when genuinely needed.

Zepto Customer Support & Escalation Emails

If your issue is not resolved through the app, you can contact Zepto through email.

Extra Tips

  • Cancel as early as possible for higher success chances
  • Keep screenshots of orders and chats
  • Be polite with delivery partners and support agents
  • If refund is delayed, send your order ID through email

Final Words

Cancelling a Zepto order is easy only during the first few minutes after placing it. If the cancel option disappears, contacting the delivery partner is often the fastest method. Use cancellations carefully to avoid account issues later.
